  • One of the Colorado Division of Wildlife’s Birding Trails—The Fruitgrowers Trail—is based in Delta County. Rivendell is not officially listed in the Trail book or the DOW Birding Trails webpages, but we fit right in. Give us a call and schedule a stop while you are traversing the Trail.  Or reserve lodging here, and make Rivendell your base for birding in Delta County. During the Spring Sandhill Crane migration, they circle over us as they head to nearby Fruitgrowers Reservoir.
